Andrew Coleman has appeared as Counsel in all major Courts and Tribunals both State and Federal. He practiced as a solicitor in London and Sydney for over 9 years before being called to the bar.
Andrew practices extensively in corporations law, insolvency and insurance cases. He has appeared for and advised liquidators, administrators, banks, corporations, insurers and individuals. From 2016 - 2018 Andrew has been ranked as a recommended barrister for insolvency matters by the Doyle's Guide to the legal profession. Andrew has also appeared in major representative proceedings in the Federal Court involving trade practices, tort, financial regulation and contract. Andrew has appeared in major commercial proceedings acting for local authorities which suffered losses in the global financial crisis. Andrew has a particular interest in sporting law. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA) and has advised athletes and sporting bodies alike. Andrew has extensive experience in appearing in inquests and inquiries and has particular experience in aviation matters.
In July 2014, Andrew was appointed as a Senior Member of the Appeal Panel, Occupational, and Consumer and Commercial Divisions of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). He is also a Major in the Australian Army Legal Corps (Res). In 2019 Andrew was appointed Chair of the National Rugby League's Player Agents' Accreditation Board.
