Angus' practice encompasses advisory and appearance work in commercial and public law matters. He appears unled in final and interlocutory hearings and also has substantial experience working as junior counsel in complex, high-value disputes, often involving a cross-border element. He is called to the English Bar (Lincoln's Inn), where  he practised from One Essex Court, a leading commercial chambers in London.

Prior to coming to the Bar in 2015, Angus practised at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in London, where he was involved in a broad range of complex commercial and public law disputes.

Angus received a Bachelors of Arts and Laws (Hons) from the University of Queensland and was ranked first in his year. He attended the University of Cambridge as a David M Livingstone (Australia) scholar, graduating with a Master of Laws (Hons). In March 2015 Angus received the Ludlows Award for the highest aggregate mark in the NSW Bar Exams.

Angus was an Associate at the High Court of Australia to the Hon. Justice (now Chief Justice) SM Kiefel AC.
