Penelope accepts briefs in all areas of law, but practises principally in commercial litigation. Her primary practice areas are corporations law, financial services and civil penalty proceedings brought by ACCC and ASIC, competition law, administrative law, equity and consumer matters. Penelope regularly appears in all NSW courts and the Federal Court, and has appeared and argued before the Full Federal Court.
Prior to coming to the bar, Penelope was a senior associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Sullivan in Sydney from 2014-2016, and an associate at Scott + Scott Attorneys in New York from 2010-2013. In her work as a solicitor Penelope had responsibility for complex, high value commercial and public law matters. In the US, Penelope litigated complex competition, consumer and securities class actions. She is also an experienced advocate, having second-chaired and conducted direct and cross-examinations in two federal trials on commercial and competition cases in the United States.
