Robert practises widely in complex commercial litigation including advising and appearing in first instance hearings, applications and appeals, as well as domestic and international arbitrations. 

Robert has also appeared in a number of major commissions of inquiry including ICAC public hearings. Most recently, he was lead Counsel for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) in the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industries.

Robert is regularly ranked as a leading silk in the Chambers Global and Chambers Asia Pacific  Guides for Dispute Resolution and Restructuring/Insolvency; and in the Doyles Guide; and the Australian Financial Review's Best Lawyers in Australia Guide.
