Banco Chambers proud supporters of Jessup Moot
Banco Chambers was proud to support the Australian Jessup Moot finals, held on 9 February at the High Court in Canberra.
The final of the prestigious competition was contested by the University of Sydney and the University of QLD, with Sydney prevailing in a hearing before a panel of judges comprising the Hon Justice Edelman of the High Court, Kate Richardson SC of Banco Chambers, and Liam Prescott of DLA Piper. Jonathon Redwood, also of Banco Chambers judged a semi final held on the same day.
The finalist teams, who each qualified to participate in the world finals of the Jessup Moot in Washington, were each awarded cash prizes by Banco Chambers to assist with their cost of travel to Washington. Banco Chambers congratulates all the students who participated in the Australian finals and looks forward to continuing to support the development of excellence in advocacy in the next generation of Australian lawyers.
