Jonathon Redwood elected Vice President of ACICA
Jonathon Redwood has been elected as the Vice President of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA).
Established in 1985, ACICA is the peak arbitration body in Australia. It is independent, not for profit, and exists to promote and facilitate the efficient resolution of commercial disputes through arbitration and mediation. Its services include acting as an impartial appointment and administrative body in arbitrations, including under UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, providing rules and model agreements for arbitrations and other ADR processes, and maintaining panels of arbitrators and mediators as a resource for party appointments.
Jonathon has more than 20 years' experience in legal practice. He was called to the Bar in 2006 and maintains a broad national practice encompassing high value commercial disputes as well a regulatory and public law matters. He appears in arbitrations seated domestically and internationally both led and unled, and is ranked as a leading counsel for arbitration in the Doyles Guide to the Legal Profession, Australia wide (2017 & 2018). Prior to his election as Vice President Jonathon has also served ACICA as an executive director.
