“Secret Ministries and the Constitution: an implied requirement of publication?”

1 November 2022

Contribution to legal debate and knowledge is a long held Banco Chambers tradition. In August 2022 it was publicly revealed that former Prime Minister Scott Morrison had been appointed to administer five additional departments of the Commonwealth which were described in the media as "Secret Ministries."

Fiona Roughley and Megan Caristo recently collaborated on a new article to contribute to the body of published opinion on the lawfulness of Mr Morrison's ministries.

Their article, "Secret Ministries and the Constitution: an implied requirement of publication?" will be published in a forthcoming edition of the Australian Law Journal. It is also available here.
