Banco Chambers congratulates Cameron Moore SC on his appointment to the Federal Court of Australia

Banco Chambers congratulates Cameron Moore SC on his appointment to the Federal Court of Australia. He will be sworn in on 18 December, and a public welcome ceremony will follow in February 2025 (dates TBC).

Cameron was admitted to the Bar in 1998 and took Silk in 2011. He developed a formidable reputation as a leading silk in competition law, class actions, intellectual property and appeals. He has appeared in some of Australia’s most significant cases in these areas. His appointment is a mark of recognition of his skill and experience and the Court, practitioners and the administration of justice will benefit enormously from his appointment.

Cameron has been Banco’s Head of Chambers since 2020, and a director since its establishment in 2005. As a Floor Leader he took a keen interest not only in a member’s practice, but in their wellbeing, whenever the circumstances required it. His leadership prioritised a steady and kind cultural ethos, which we will continue to experience from the Bench rather than the Chambers corridors.

Congratulations Cameron!
