Anne Horvath SC

Anne has been litigating since 1995.  She practices widely in commercial litigation, and maintains a particular focus on insurance contract disputes appearing both for and against most insurers in the Australian market.  Anne is a recognised leader in professional negligence cases and disciplinary proceedings, appearing in trials and appeals both for and against accountants, doctors, lawyers, engineers and other professionals.

Recent cases in which Anne has appeared or is appearing include:

1. representing Arch Underwriting at trial and on appeal in multi-party insurance proceedings brought by CIMIC Group (2023-2024);
2. representing BCC and Tokio Marine, both at first instance and on appeal, in multiple Supreme Court coverage disputes on trade credit insurance (2023-2024);
3. representing directors/shareholders of Nature’s Care Holdings in multiple Supreme Court and Federal Court shareholder disputes (2023/2024);
4. representing Nuix against insurers in Federal Court proceedings on contract construction (2024);
5. representing Camden Council in the Spring Farm land subsidence class action (2024).
