Rhys accepts briefs in all areas of law. He has a particular interest in commercial law and public law.
Before coming to the Bar, Rhys was a Senior Solicitor at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office, where he practised in constitutional and administrative law, revenue, and regulatory prosecutions. He was also Associate to the Hon. Justice Anthony Meagher at the NSW Court of Appeal, and has lectured in administrative law at the University of Sydney.
Rhys holds a Master of Laws (Hons I) from the University of Cambridge, where he placed first in three courses, and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from the University of Sydney. He has also published widely in peer-reviewed journals, principally in the areas of public international law and investment arbitration.
