Robert practises widely in complex commercial litigation including representative proceedings, company law, contractual disputes, financial services, regulatory, insolvency, employment and insurance. Robert provides advice across a wide range of legal areas, and appears in trials, applications and appeals as well as domestic and international arbitrations.

Recent cases in which Robert has appeared or is appearing include:

  • representing University of Sydney in Federal Court class action proceedings (2025);
  • representing non-executive directors of Star Entertainment Group Ltd in Federal Court civil penalty proceedings brought by ASIC (2025);
  • representing McDonald’s Australia in Federal Court representative proceedings (2025);
  • representing Firstmac in Federal Court civil penalty proceedings commenced by ASIC (2025);
  • representing AMP in Commercial List proceedings brought by Munich Reinsurance and Resolution Life Australia (2025);
