Banco Chambers is pleased to announce that Elliot Hyde and Adam Hochroth were appointed Senior Counsel today. Their appointments are a fitting acknowledgment of their leadership, skill and experience. Their appointments bring the total number of silk at Banco to 25, affirming Banco Chambers as a trusted source of advice and advocacy.
Elliot Hyde was called to the bar in 2005. He is a highly experienced advocate with specialist expertise in commercial, insolvency and corporations disputes as well as large scale infrastructure disputes. Most recently, he has acted for the joint venture builder in a large, long running dispute concerning the $1.85 billion development of the North Royal Adelaide Hospital and is appearing for a foreign state in a dispute with Commonwealth of Australia in the High Court.
Adam Hochroth was called to the Bar in 2012. He has a strong trial and appellate practice, with established expertise in commercial and public law. He is a sought after counsel in class actions, and is currently conducting three such matters unled with a team of juniors. In public law, he has appeared in numerous migration matters, including unled in the High Court of Australia, and most notably as a member of the counsel team for the amici curiae in the NZYQ matter.
